BELLINGHAM, Wash. — A WWU academic society is offering free tax help for locals this season.
Beta Alpha Psi is an international honor society for accounting, finance and information systems students.
The local chapter at Western is taking part in “VITA” – the IRS’s volunteer income tax assistance program, offering free basic tax return preparation to people who qualify.
The free tax help is available by Zoom call to persons who fill out a consent form and provide information.
People are eligible if they make $57,000 or less, have a disability, or speak limited English.
