BELLINGHAM, Wash. – The Western Washington University Hockey Club is raising money to help them stay on the ice.
President Mark MacDonald says they’re a club sport and don’t receive university funding like other athletic programs.
He says they’re raising funds all day May 27th for just about every aspect of team operations.
Their goal is $15,000, which is just a fraction of their annual expenses.
He says it’s really a labor of love for the game for all the players, coaches and others involved in the hockey club.
