BELLINGHAM, Wash. – COVID-19 prompted Western Washington University to move online this spring, but students should expect to be back on campus in the fall.
The university says while there is still much contingency planning underway, they expect fall quarter to start in person as scheduled on September 25 with a hybrid approach that allows for a mix of online and in-person classes.
According to WWU, the Whatcom County Health Department believes there will be sufficient capacity to test students for COVID-19 ahead of the school year.
Dedicated quarantine space will be available for on-campus residents who are exposed to the virus.
