BELLINGHAM, Wash. — NASA has contracted a team from Western Washington University to build an essential tool for Mars rover scientists.
The group of faculty and staff is joining forces with a Seattle-based aerospace manufacturing company to get the job done.
They’ll be working together to design and build a new instrument called a goniometer that will help scientists and members of the Mars rover teams better understand what they are seeing and sampling on the Red Planet.
