The Western Washington Uniiversity women’s basketball team beat Simon Fraser Tuesday night 67-49. Anna Schwecke had a double-double for the Vikings with 26 points and 19 rebounds. The women clinch a spot in the Great Northwest Athletic Conference Tournament, which they are hosting. They visit Montana State Billings Thursday night.
The Western men lost to Simon Fraser 76-73. Tyler Payne led with Vikings with 20 points in the loss. Western falls to 14-14 on the year and 8-10 in Great Northwest Athletic Conference play. They host Western Oregon Saturday night at 7:00.
