OLYMPIA, Wash. (AP) — Wyoming’s governor vetoed a bill that would have allowed its Legislature to sue the state of Washington over coal exports.

Republican Governor Mark Gordon said Friday it’s important for Wyoming to “speak with one voice” on the issue of coal-export litigation.

Wyoming is the top coal-producing state and wants to export more coal overseas, but Washington, which would ship most if not all of it, has denied key permits or outright canceled coal-export facility development.
