MARBLEMOUNT, Wash. — The Skagit County Sheriff’s Office is searching for a missing boy who was last seen kayaking on the Skagit River east of Marblemount.

Undersheriff Chad Clark tells the Skagit Valley Herald the 10-year-old’s father reported the boy missing this morning (wed), saying that they had been in the kayak yesterday (wed) when the father fell out.

He said his son was still on the kayak when he last saw him.

The man was able to get to shore and had to hike to find a phone.

Search and rescue teams, including marine units and a CBP helicopter, have been called in to assist the search.
