POINT ROBERTS, Wash. – The State Patrol reports speed and impairment were factors in a crash on Point Roberts that left a young driver with fatal injuries.
Troopers say 18-year-old Samuel J. Morson was driving south on Roosevelt Way at the border at about 9:30 Tuesday night when he lost control of the Tesla sedan and crashed into a concrete barrier.
He was the only person involved and was airlifted to PeaceHealth St. Joseph Medical Center in Bellingham where he died from his injuries.
