BELLINGHAM, Wash. — A fatal hit-and-run blocked traffic for hours Tuesday morning on southbound I-5 at the Meridian Street exit while crews investigated the scene.
The State Patrol reports an unknown vehicle hit 17-year-old Butch J. Mullins at about 12:30 AM as he was walking on I-5 and drove off.
Mullins was declared dead at the scene.
Anyone with information should contact State Patrol.
On I-5 SB just south of Northwest Ave (MP 256) there is an incident blocking all lanes. Medical Aid and the State Patrol have arrived on the scene.
