More people are getting outside and gardening this year amid the coronavirus pandemic. Jenny Gunderson, co-owner of My Garden Nursery in Bellingham, joins Joe on the KGMI afternoon news to talk about why. She says she believes people who stayed at home during the pandemic wanted something interesting to do, like improving their home and gardens. She says there has been more than a 30% increase in plant sales for 2020 compared to 2019.
