An alarming amount of Invasive European Green Crabs were found in Drayton Harbor. The crabs out-compete native species and impact local fisheries, posing a threat to Washington’s economic, environmental, and cultural resources. The state Department of Fish & Wildlife and the Washington Sea Grant Crab Team trapped 17 green crabs during a two-day period in late September. Crab Team Project Manager Emily Grason of Washington Sea Grant joins the Morning Show to elaborate on the crab problem.
