A U.S. Intelligence Team is now on the ground in Saudi Arabia to investigate the drone attack on an oil processing plant. CBS News has learned the 20 drones and cruise missiles were launched from Southern Iran. Investigators also determined the weapons were made in Iran. One Senior Official is calling it a “complex and coordinated attack.” Saudi Arabia does have protection against such hits ā US Patriot Air Defense Batteries ā but they were all pointed South at Yemen, the source for past drone hits. Tuesday, Vice President Pence, who did not flat-out blame Iran, said the US is “locked and loaded” and ready to “defend our interests.” Meanwhile, President Trump has said he’d prefer NOT to meet with Iranian President Rouhani when world leaders gather at the United Nations.
