FERNDALE, Wash. — With the windy weather and flooding expected along the Nooksack River, Vanderyacht Park in Ferndale is closed temporarily.
The City of Ferndale officially closed the park Monday when strong winds began to kick up and they plan to keep it closed Tuesday in anticipation of the rising river.
Vanderyacht Park is located along the Nooksack River just off Portal Way and has a disc golf course, trails to the river, and an off-leash area for dogs.
