BRUSH PRARIE, Wash. — Two soldiers from Washington state have been killed in action in Afghanistan in recent days.

The Pentagon reports 39-year-old Sgt. 1st Class Eric Emond of Brush Prairie, in Clark County near Vancouver, was among three soldiers killed by a roadside bomb earlier this week.

Army Sgt. Leandro Jasso of Leavenworth was killed by small arms fire last Saturday.
