BELLINGHAM, Wash. — As the mountains get inundated with snow, strong, warm winds are ready to pummel the coast.
The National Weather Service issued a Wind Advisory effective through Thursday afternoon for western Whatcom and Skagit Counties and San Juan County.
South winds around 20-30 MPH with gusts up to 50 MPH in places are expected to be worst in Ferndale, Bellingham and Sandy Point among others.
Power outages are possible.
