ANACORTES, Wash. — Washington’s ferries kept operating through yesterday’s storm but not without some difficulties.
KOMO reports the ferry Yakima was hit with a 90 MPH wind gust as it sailed from Anacortes to the San Juan Islands.
A window was shattered on the Puyallup by high winds and waves.
Meanwhile, restrooms were closed in the Port Townsend terminal after the pipes froze.
Ferry riders are urged to check the system’s alerts page for any changes to service.
