BELLINGHAM, Wash. – The State Patrol is asking that anyone who may have witnessed a fatal hit and run on southbound I-5 at Meridian Street in Bellingham to contact them.
An unknown vehicle hit and killed 17-year-old Butch J. Mullins as he walked on the freeway at about 12:30 AM Tuesday.
The driver then fled the scene.
Investigators are working to identify and locate the driver.
They’re asking for information about any vehicle that may have damage that can’t be explained.
