MOUNT VERNON, Wash. — The Skagit Tulip Festival is getting into full swing and the Department of Transportation is reminding drivers to give themselves extra time, expect delays and plan alternate routes to see the flower fields.
There are transportation alternatives including the bus or Amtrak Cascades which stops in downtown Mount Vernon.
Drivers are also warned to not park on roadways to view the tulips.
