MAPLE FALLS, Wash. — Whatcom County Parks & Recreation has reopened the Maple Creek Campground at Silver Lake Park after months of work improving the spot.
Almost 50 campsites at the popular Maple Falls destination were renovated or reconstructed, and several trees were removed.
The project, which began last January, also included the construction of new trails within the campground.
Parks & Rec announced the completion last Friday.
Maple Creek Campground is one of four campgrounds within Silver Lake Park, one of Whatcom County’s oldest parks, acquired in 1966.
