BELLINGHAM, Wash. — Chuckanut Drive is open again after a rockslide closed the road this weekend near the Oyster Dome Trailhead.
The state Department of Transportation says engineers assessed the hillside Monday morning and determined falling rock was no longer a risk.
The rocks came tumbling down late Saturday night in the same area as the rockslide that closed the road in September.
WSDOT says crews monitor that area daily during the winter season for any slide risks.
