BELLINGHAM, Wash. — Another round of punishing winds and snow is coming for San Juan County and western Whatcom and Skagit Counties.
The National Weather Service has a Winter Weather Advisory in effect until noon Saturday and a High Wind Warning in place between 10:00 PM Friday and midnight on Saturday.
Snow is expected to be heaviest over the Bellingham area, San Juan Island, and the Western Strait of Juan de Fuca with forecasters expecting 1-4 inches.
Meanwhile, strong north winds are expected to hit Bellingham, Sandy Point, Lummi Island and Anacortes.
The mix of wind and snow will impact visibility and make travel dangerous in some areas.
