BELLINGHAM, Wash. — Our local job market remains strong and our unemployment rate continues to go down.
New numbers from the Employment Security Department show the Whatcom County economy added almost 1,500 jobs over the past year.
The local unemployment rate was 4.0% in September, down from 4.4% in August and almost a full point lower than our rate in September 2017.
