BELLINGHAM, Wash. — The Whatcom Transportation Authority has announced the first recipients of their retired transit vans.
They are giving the vans to Northwest Youth Services, Skookum Kids and a Sikh temple in Lynden.
Applications were judged on criteria like community benefit and estimated use.
The 12-15 passenger vans are no longer suitable for the long daily van pools but reportedly have been well maintained.
